Terms of service
Last updated September 25, 2026
These terms apply when you create an account or use TaxReady Books. If you use TaxReady for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to act for it and to enter the information you provide.
What TaxReady provides
TaxReady is bookkeeping software. It records entries, prepares reports and workpapers, and links users to government filing portals. It does not submit tax returns, move money, connect to online banking or provide legal, tax or accounting advice.
Your responsibilities
- Keep account credentials private and give each person their own appropriate role.
- Enter lawful, accurate information and review imported or calculated suggestions before confirming them.
- Verify payroll deductions using the official CRA calculator and obtain professional advice when needed.
- Maintain any records required outside the service and export backups appropriate to your business.
- Do not misuse the service, probe another organization, interfere with availability or upload unlawful content.
Subscriptions
The published business plan is $10 CAD / month for your first three months, then $29 CAD / month. A professional practice portal is free; each client business has its own subscription. Taxes are additional where required. Checkout will disclose the renewal timing and total before payment.
Paid billing is not yet enabled during the controlled beta. No card will be charged until the application presents a checkout and the payer confirms it.
Availability and changes
We work to keep TaxReady available and accurate, but uninterrupted service is not guaranteed. Features, rates and government forms can change. Material changes to these terms will be presented before continued paid use when required.
Account suspension and ending service
We may restrict an account to protect users, respond to misuse or comply with law. If a subscription ends, reports, exports and backups remain available through any paid access period shown in the application. Organization owners can export and permanently delete their information.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, TaxReady is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, missed filing dates, government assessments or decisions made without reviewing the underlying records. Nothing in these terms removes rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited. Obtain advice from a qualified professional for decisions carrying material tax, payroll or legal consequences.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada. Questions can be sent to hello@taxreadybooks.ca.
